The Chariot

Last summer I was looking for a budget van to convert to a camper van. I found this 2002 Ford E350 van for a good price. It also had several things that would save me time, work  and money. It has a high ceiling (I can stand up without hitting my head) and multiple attachment rails on the floor and walls. The roof was already insulated, so I only had to do the walls, which I did with sheep wool bats. It was a handicap van so there were no rows of seats to remove.

I made bench seats on each side which pull out to make a queen bed with storage under. I put cabinets above the bench seats and more for the kitchen.

Kailab and I changed the fuel pump (major hastle involving dropping the gas tank). I also had the transmission fluid and filter changed as well as the spark plugs. It is a long steep journey to Fairbanks. Crossing my fingers everything goes well.

I don't have any pictures of the insides as it is full of stuff I am delivering to Emily in Rexburg on my way North. I'll try to get some more pictures later.
